Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers and auditors. Set clear expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and ensure the team is continuously growing in skills and capability. Your focus will be on leading the team, not performing the technical work yourself.
Manage the overall energy audit operations, from scheduling site inspections to delivering compliance reports. Ensure that all projects are executed efficiently, on time, and meet Vert’s high-quality standards.
Ensure that all audit data is accurate and meets both client expectations and regulatory requirements. Implement rigorous quality control measures to maintain the highest standards.
Drive ongoing process improvements and leverage automation where possible to improve workflow efficiency. Work closely with leadership to implement cutting-edge technologies that will revolutionize energy audits globally.
Oversee all project management efforts for the audit department, ensuring clear timelines, resource allocation, and coordination with other departments.
Ensure that all audits and reports comply with relevant energy efficiency laws, including the Los Angeles Energy and Water Efficiency (EBEWE) ordinance, and are delivered on time to clients.
Play a key role in shaping the future strategy for Vert’s energy audit department. Your insights will guide the adoption of new technologies and services that help us grow while maintaining our leadership in energy compliance.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and engage with clients to ensure that project objectives are met. Provide technical recommendations and ensure client satisfaction with the audit process.

Required
Proven track record of successfully managing and leading engineering teams, focusing on empowering others to take ownership of their work and driving them toward success.
Strong understanding of energy audit processes, compliance regulations, and the technical aspects of energy efficiency.
Experience in leading complex projects using best practices like Scrum or Lean methodologies, ensuring timely and high-quality project completion.
Experience in optimizing workflows and processes to drive efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality.
Ability to clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and key decisions.
Strong analytical skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving, anticipating challenges before they arise.
5 years of experience in energy audits.
5 years of management experience.
Preferred
Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in California
