Responsibilities
Assists the Chief Operating Officer with various HR functions, including but not limited to job postings, applicant intake, coordinating and leading orientation, staff check-ins, exit interviews, etc.
Oversee and assist with HR operations the team manages, including onboarding, performance management, benefits administration, and HR systems.
Support the culture team in fostering a positive, engaged, and inclusive workplace culture.
Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions
Assists with administrative tasks, including correspondence, reports, and database entry
Assists employees with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures
Ensure consistency and accuracy in applying HR policies and procedures across the organization.
Conduct periodic reviews of HR processes, recommending improvements where necessary.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and employment regulations.
Manage employee benefits, coordinating with the Controller as appropriate.
Lead annual insurance benefits renewal process with the finance team to present COO recommendations for approval.
Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, ensuring HR policies reflect a commitment to creating an inclusive workplace.
Help foster team culture and organize team-building activities

Required
A bachelor's degree in human resources
3 to 5 years experience in a human resources role, ideally with an ad agency or a brand in DTC e-commerce.
Expert knowledge in hiring processes and recruitment
Experience with managing and implementing EOS
Experience with team training and professional development
Strong interpersonal communication and a relationship builder, including the ability to hold people accountable and conduct difficult conversations
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks with great attention to detail.
Self-starter that can work independently and collaborate with a team.
