Responsibilities

Guidance on Proxy Proposals and Contests: The Senior Manager will be responsible for developing comprehensive guidance on contested board elections and other challenging proxy proposals. This involves analyzing proposals, providing clear and actionable recommendations, and ensuring that all guidance for each policy aligns with its methodology. The successful candidate will need to stay informed on the corporate landscape to provide timely and relevant advice to clients.

Minor Methodology Updates During Proxy Season: The role requires the Senior Manager to implement minor updates to methodologies during the proxy season. These updates are critical to maintaining the accuracy and relevance of our analyses. The Senior Manager will work closely with the other team members to identify and implement changes.

Major Methodology Overhauls Outside Proxy Season: Outside of the proxy season, the Senior Manager will lead efforts to conduct major updates and overhauls of our methodologies. This includes evaluating current methodologies, identifying areas for improvement, and developing new approaches to enhance our analytical frameworks. The Senior Manager will collaborate with various parties to ensure that these updates are comprehensive.

Thought Leadership: The Senior Manager will develop thought leadership content by applying data gathered and generated by Egan-Jones Proxy services. This involves producing insightful short and long form content that is handwritten and that is automatically created using periodically-available data. The successful candidate will be expected to share these insights with clients and the broader market, highlighting Egan-Jones as a leader in the proxy advisory space.

Innovation and System Improvements: To support the effective execution of responsibilities, the Senior Manager will drive innovation and improvements in our internal systems. This includes identifying and implementing new technologies, processes, and tools that enhance our capabilities and efficiency. The Senior Manager will work closely with IT and other departments to ensure that these innovations align with our strategic goals and support the continuous improvement of our services.
