Responsibilities
Collaborate with the executive team to identify new expansion markets.
Identify, source, and secure new properties within those markets, or develop campaigns to attract ideal properties.
Manage the end-to-end process of negotiating and leasing each new property, preparing the property for students, and navigating all necessary approval processes (local fire, health, certificates of use, and Department of Education).
Design the real estate engine that will facilitate the opening of thousands of new microschools each year.

Required
Expertise in local approval processes (e.g., certificates of use, health inspections).
Ability to minimize time spent at each step of the approval process.
Excellence in both strategic planning and operational execution to build a scalable real estate engine.
Experience managing the entire real estate process—from market expansion discussions to delivering fully-approved, ready-to-use spaces.
Ability to stay under budget and ahead of schedule.
Experience optimizing an asset-light strategy by partnering with local organizations like churches and libraries.
Preferred
Experience in securing regulatory approval for local physical businesses, particularly across multiple municipalities.
Proven experience in identifying expansion opportunities—encompassing both market-level and property-level analysis.
Experience in a fast-growing startup environment is a plus.
Strong preference for candidates based in Florida, Texas, or Alabama.
Prepared to travel 25-50% from November to March if located outside Florida, Texas, or Alabama.
