Responsibilities
Manage distribution of ASP content into various print and digital markets, expanding the Press’s sales partnerships across all product types, all channels, and all appropriate geographies.
Maintain relationships with book distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and libraries concerning all domestic and international print and digital sales.
Work directly with acquisitions and production departments to maintain publishing schedules, organize seasonal catalogs and sales presentations, and provide guidance on market trends.
Collaborate with the Director & Publisher to create and maintain monthly and annual budgets, financial planning, and sales targets. Run reports and analyze data as needed.
Supervise Sales & Marketing Department employees, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and career growth.

Required
Strong sales background in scholarly or university press publishing.
Leadership, precision, follow-through, strong customer service skills.

Preferred
Minimum of 5 years experience in publishing, preferably in a sales-related publishing role.
Knowledge of sales and distribution services, preferably in the scholarly or university publishing markets.
Competence in Ingram’s CoreSource, iQ, Lightning Source, and ipage a plus.
Competence in Intuit Quickbooks or similar accounting software a plus.
Advanced skills in selling, negotiating, managing details.
Ability to work collaboratively and creatively in a highly innovative environment.
Manage multiple projects at different stages, while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
Desire to meaningfully contribute to the success of a growing organization.
