Responsibilities

Provide strategic direction for business growth and work winning in specific regions.
Lead business development activities with a focus on selected ISO/RTO.
Ensure compliance with NERC and FERC requirements and ISOs’ guidelines.
Supervise the execution of various power system studies.
Lead major proposal preparation and procure work.
Establish and manage a team, contributing to growth strategies.
Maintain client relations and represent Arup’s capabilities.
Produce and review quality technical reports and presentations.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; an advanced degree or equivalent experience (master’s or PhD) is highly preferred.
At least 15 years of hands-on experience in delivering power system studies using PSS/E or PSLF and/or PSCAD/EMTDC and/or PowerGEM TARA.
At least 3 years in team and business leadership.
PE license.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of engineers, other technical and support staff.
Excellent business development with outstanding team leadership and relationship building skills.
Demonstrated strong commercial competence and financial skills.
Sound industry networks among potential client market and a significant reputation in a relevant area of expertise.
Excellent communication skills crucial for team-based working.
Effective presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, as needed, to achieve agreed goals and results.
Must be highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.

Preferred

An advanced degree or equivalent experience (master’s or PhD) in electrical engineering.
Knowledge of PSLF is a plus.
