Responsibilities
Facilitate the review and clearance of operational plans, guidance documents, instructions, and standard operating procedures as well as public-facing and CMS-internal documents to support program operations.
Conduct editing reviews of deliverables to ensure they align with style guidelines.
Apply project management rigor/processes to address issues as and when they arise
Develop and maintain operational plans, guidance documents, instructions, and standard operating procedures as well as public-facing and CMS-internal documents to support program operations
Research, learn, and apply relevant policy, guidance, and regulations to respond to inquiries
Proactively identify gaps that operational and tactical plans can resolve
Utilize various information systems to perform validation and verification of data by comparing and analyzing from multiple sources and reporting findings in a meaningful way
Document decisions and approved language in a knowledge repository
Communicate with our team and all stakeholders (e.g., client, sub-contractors, contractors, etc.)
Support the completion of ad hoc client deliverables and requests as needed.
Solve complex challenges in a timely and appropriate manner with minimal management oversight and attention to quality
Contribute to, and participate in, group meetings with clients and stakeholders

Required
Bachelor's degree in health policy, health systems management, public policy, public health, public administration, business management, communications or related discipline
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Solid analytical skills and experience with data analysis
Superior communication, interpersonal and writing skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to multi-task between complex projects during seasonal peak periods
Ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment
Ability to absorb large amounts of new technical and policy knowledge with minimal guidance
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Preferred
1-2 years' experience in federal consulting or other healthcare consulting performing in a client-facing role
Expert-level understanding of English grammar and plain language writing
Familiarity with AP Style
Experience working on HHS or CMS projects
Ability to absorb large amounts of new technical and policy knowledge without a lot of guidance
Ability to work collaboratively and iterate products with a variety of stakeholders under tight timelines
Understanding of federal healthcare programs and policies
Willingness to take on task streams in a leadership capacity
Proficiency in Smartsheet and other relevant software tools
