Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end project management for healthcare IT initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including clinicians, IT staff, administrators, and third-party vendors, to define project requirements and objectives.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, budgets, and risk assessments.
Oversee the implementation, integration, and optimization of healthcare IT systems, such as EHR/EMR systems, patient portals, and interoperability solutions.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH) and data security best practices.
Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure quality delivery of services.
Facilitate cross-functional team collaboration and communication to drive project success.
Identify, document, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders, providing regular updates and performance metrics.
Support change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new technology solutions by end-users.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in healthcare IT.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years in the healthcare sector.
Proven experience managing projects involving healthcare IT systems such as EHRs/EMRs (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech), patient engagement platforms, or telehealth solutions.
Experience with standards and protocols such as HL7, FHIR, and ICD coding.
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent).
Knowledge of healthcare regulatory compliance and security standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH).
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Required Security clearance.
Preferred
A Master’s degree.
Certification such as PMP, CSM, or Lean Six Sigma is highly desirable.
Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS in healthcare settings.
Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools used in healthcare IT.
Experience with ITIL and IT service management processes.
Federal Experience is a plus.
