Responsibilities
Recommend procurement of new heat treatment equipment, manage the CAPEX project with vendors, oversee installation of new equipment, and conduct onsite training.
Research and implement new heat treatment technologies to achieve cost savings and process improvements.
Monitor heat treatment operations to ensure compliance with internal procedures and customer requirements, including both internal and subcontracted processes.
Investigate metallurgical and heat treatment complaints, report findings, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
Lead NADCAP heat treatment and non-destructive audits and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
Perform internal audits related to material and heat treatment requirements.
Visit NHBB suppliers to provide recommendations for process improvements on surface treatment issues.
Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
Able to solve complex problems and make decisions based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

Required
Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering, or Material Science & Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in heat treatment and metallurgical processes.
Preferred
Project management experience is a plus.
Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is preferred.
