Responsibilities

Work independently to review, abstract pertinent medical record information, and/or validate accuracy of abstraction in accordance with multiple study criteria.

Obtain information to be abstracted from medical records copied from physician offices/healthcare facilities and linked in the HEDIS data base.

Attain an inter-rater reliability score of 95% or higher for the duration of the project.

Keep all medical records confidential, in accordance with federal and local requirements, and maintain them at the CIGNA HealthCare office.

Perform other duties as assigned to improve HEDIS rates, including gleaming records for additional information and assisting with sample validation.
