Responsibilities

Support project teams by delivering design solutions, managing design tasks, and assisting with client coordination.

Work on highway interchange design, intersection design, shared-use path design, roadway reconstruction and/or rehabilitation, and transportation related civil-site design.

Design and prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates as well as perform highway and civil design tasks under the supervision of the Project Manager.

Develop innovative design solutions, create roadway corridor 3D models, and develop horizontal and vertical geometry.

Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other agencies, participate in quality control/quality assurance activities, and ensure project deadlines are met.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in MD

Minimum 4 years of professional project experience associated with transportation projects

Proficiency and prior experience using MicroStation, OpenRoads, and/or InRoads

Working knowledge of federal and state design guidelines (MDOT preferred)
