Responsibilities
Verifies preparation and timely submission of all PDGM and FFS Home Health claims
Monitors payment processing from insurance companies
Accesses accounts on clearing houses, EMR, and portals daily
Performs timely and accurate follow-up aging activity on insurance accounts
Coordinates AR reporting and provides cash flow updates
Attends A/R calls discussing insurance accounts status
Participates in educational activities and monthly staff meetings
Works with Provider Reps at insurance companies
Maintains strict confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines

Required
Knowledge of insurance companies required
Medical billing experience required; home health billing experience required for Sign on Bonus
Experience in A/R follow-up for insurance claims is required, preferably Home Health or Hospice.
Knowledge of computer programs
Knowledge of business office procedures to include a basic understanding of accounting
Understanding of third-party operating procedures and practices
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public
Must be well organized and detail-oriented
Must be able to prioritize work and meet deadlines
Preferred
Cash posting experience preferred
Knowledge of healthcare billing/collection practices preferred
