Responsibilities

Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
Conducts or acquires background checks and employment eligibility verifications.
Implements new hire orientation and employee onboarding is efficiently executed
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and coordinates training and development.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
Performs exit interviews and tracks trends of exiting employees
Ensures that tickets placed within the HR service desk are completed in a timely manner
Ensures active monitoring and participation of audits (when required) for benefit-related matters (i.e., 401K, healthcare)
Actively participates in cross-functional team membership
Assists with onboarding processes in coordination with the Workforce Program
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
2-4 years of HR support experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred

Experience with benefits enrollment, FMLA administration, and HRIS/ATS systems.
Knowledge of federal/state regulations affecting employee benefits.
Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP).
