Responsibilities
Manage and host All Hands meetings, including agenda setting, slide preparation, and coordinating Ask Me Anything sessions.
Conduct Employee Feedback Surveys and manage follow-up actions.
Organize monthly social events and manage company swag.
Support the preparation and execution of company offsite events.
Manage the employee recognition program.
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including meeting with hiring managers and/or external recruiters, job posting, interviewing, hiring decisions, and managing the recruitment tool.
Execute an effective onboarding process that integrates new hires into company culture and workflows.
Administer new hire processes including contract preparation, background checks, reference checks, and onboarding activities.
Manage offboarding processes including termination meetings and access revocation.
Manage and oversee performance review processes using tools like 15Five.
Ensure managers conduct bi-annual performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Support Career Hub initiatives and ensure effective learning opportunities like Learning Lounges.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all benefits brokers. Address queries, negotiate terms, and maintain a strong professional relationship to support the company's benefits strategy.
Facilitate access to carriers for resolving issues, gathering information, and ensuring that employee benefits are administered effectively.
Collaborate with brokers to negotiate and secure competitive pricing for health, dental, life, and other employee benefit programs.
Stay informed about the latest trends and developments, including emerging benefits and shifts in employee preferences. Utilize this information to recommend updates and enhancements to the company’s benefits offerings.
Lead the administration of the benefits renewal process. Coordinate with brokers and carriers to review current plans, assess the needs of the organization, and implement changes during renewal periods to optimize coverage and costs.
Reviews semi-monthly payroll, including benefits such as Lifestyle and Work From Home allowances and commission and bonus payments. Ensure accuracy and compliance in all payroll activities.
Manage the payment process for contractors.
Oversee the management and reimbursement of employee expenses.
Handle compensation adjustments in Rippling (HRIS), including salary updates and changes due to promotions or other internal movements.
Conduct market comparisons and manage compensation bands to ensure competitive and equitable pay structures.
Create, implement, and maintain HR policies that comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Participate in Security Framework audits as a member of the security team.
Manage the employee compliance training platform, Ethena, while ensuring employees complete all necessary compliance training.
Manage and provide guidance on employee complaints, duty to accommodate, development plans, workplace investigations, etc.

Required
5+ years of experience in HR with 3+ years of experience as an HR Manager/People Ops Manager, preferably in a technology or software environment.
Strong understanding of HR functions and best practices.
Adept at handling sensitive information with discretion.
Exposure to Canadian federal / provincial and US federal / state-specific employment laws.
Able to travel at least twice a year for company offsites.
Preferred
Knowledge of HR software tools and platforms like 15five or Rippling is considered an asset.
Possess a CPHR or SHRM certification, or be actively working towards obtaining one.
