Responsibilities
Assist the HR Manager in developing and implementing policies, procedures and changes and communicate these updates to employees effectively.
Complete administrative tasks and reporting requests assigned by the HR Manager.
Assist with the management of employer tax accounts.
Support the submission of professional licensing applications and continuing education requirements.
Serve as a point of contact for employees, ensuring smooth communication and timely resolution of queries.
Assist with staff management, including reviewing timecards for attendance and addressing missing punches, employment record keeping and reporting.
Support onboarding activities, including scheduling orientation sessions, running background checks and scheduling drug screenings.
Support recruiting efforts by completing initial resume reviews to verify qualifications and assist with interview scheduling and tracking.
Maintain employee records and ensure the confidentiality of employee information.
Support the Business Operations team by reviewing and approving employee expense reports and processing company invoices. Other tasks may be assigned as needed.

Required

A self-starter with a creative spark and a quick mind for learning.
High school diploma / GED required.
Hands-on experience as an assistant in a professional setting.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Authorized to work in the USA.
Possession of a valid Driver’s License.
Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screens, criminal background and DMV checks.
Preferred
Experience in human resources or a related field.
Familiarity with HR software and tools. Paychex experience is a plus!
Knowledge of Employment Law.
