Required
A Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Human Resources or Business
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in HR with a last 2+ years in an HR Business Partner/HR Generalist, or similar role, working closely with business leaders and teams.
Experience in managing employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
Strong understanding of HR practices, employment law, and regulations, including labor laws, compensation, benefits, and diversity/inclusion initiatives.
Ability to align HR strategies with business objectives and operational needs.
Experience in providing strategic advice and guidance to leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent management.
Demonstrated success in managing complex employee relations issues with discretion, empathy, and fairness.
Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Experience with HR analytics and reporting tools is a plus.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
Strong consultative approach, with the ability to influence and challenge senior leadership in a positive and collaborative manner.
Ability to communicate complex HR concepts clearly and effectively to non-HR personnel.
Proven ability to think critically, solve complex HR problems, and recommend effective solutions.
Skilled at navigating change, managing conflict, and facilitating difficult conversations with sensitivity and professionalism.
Strong decision-making abilities with a strategic mindset.
Ability to lead, coach, and mentor HR team members and line managers in HR practices and policies.
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives, talent management programs, and organizational change strategies.
Proven ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and exercise sound ethical judgment in all HR matters.
Ability to work within the unique culture of a government contractor organization, aligning HR practices with company values and fostering an inclusive, diverse, and respectful workplace.
Preferred
Masters degree: MSIR, HR, MPA, MBA or related field.
HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR)
