Responsibilities

Lead a small team (1-3) of HR Associates, managing their performance and career growth

Lead recruiting, on/off-boarding, and performance tooling for our non-exempt employee group

Support administration of our HR tech stack (Trinet, ADP, Gsuite, Slack, Asana, Lattice)

Lead Workers Comp administration and coordination with cross functional partners

Partner cross functionally on HRBP projects across all employee groups

Support ERBP functions within our non-exempt employee group

Partner with Senior leadership to advise on policy design, decision making, and implementation

Required

Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience in HR/People roles

5-10 years of progressive experience in HR roles (eg HR Generalist, HR Manager, HRBP, ERBP)

Experience functioning in an ambiguous role at a startup

Significant experience supporting teams with large hourly/non-exempt employee populations

Proficiency in navigating federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance regulations, with a particular focus on California-specific requirements, including wage and hour laws, employee classifications, and workplace policies.

Experience with Workers Comp and OSHA compliance program management

Understanding of multi-state payroll functions for an hourly/non-exempt employee populations

Highly-organized and always looking to optimize processes

Metrics-driven, comfortable with reports and data

Comfortable with technology

Proven written and verbal communication skills
