Responsibilities

Design innovative plastic components for EV wiring harness routing strategies.
Develop detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings for components.
Collaborate with suppliers to develop connection systems for wiring technologies.
Ensure seamless integration of wire harnesses with design for manufacturing principles.
Lead design verification and production validation plans.
Provide technical support during manufacturing and assembly of wire harness components.
Research latest trends in wiring harness design and automation processes.

Required

B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering
5+ years of experience designing and developing plastic components in an automotive or similar industry (i.e., Aerospace, Complex Medical Device)
5+ years of experience using 3D tools (3DX, NX, etc.)
5+ year of experience in a mass production setting launching new products

Preferred

Strong Mechanical Engineering fundamentals
Hands-on experience building and launching automotive products and vehicle prototyping
Experience with Microsoft Office, Confluence, and Jira applications
Experience with instrumentation of prototype vehicles in a controlled lab environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team
A system approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement
Experience deriving cost, manufacturability, reliability, and failure modes tradeoffs from based on specific designs
