Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), WebLogic, Apache Tomcat, and ACE environments.
Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations for middleware systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to middleware platforms, ensuring minimal downtime.
Manage multiple environments (development, testing, and production) for application deployment and integration.
Optimize performance and ensure scalability by tuning middleware configurations.
Implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies for middleware applications.
Deploy Java-based applications on WebSphere, WebLogic, and Tomcat servers.
Develop and maintain deployment scripts using tools like Jenkins, Ansible, or Puppet.
Set up monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics) to ensure the health and performance of middleware platforms.
Implement and manage secure configurations for middleware platforms, including SSL/TLS certificates.
Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry standards.
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and address identified risks.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application integration.
Work closely with stakeholders to resolve incidents and provide root-cause analysis.
Support API gateways and service-oriented architecture (SOA) components.
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Automate routine tasks to improve operational efficiency and consistency.

Required

10+ yrs experience in ibm webspehere, web logic, tomcat, ACE administration skills
Extensive experience in administering IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
Proficiency in WebLogic and Apache Tomcat administration
Hands-on experience with IBM ACE (App Connect Enterprise) or IBM Integration Bus (IIB)
Strong understanding of Java application servers, J2EE, and middleware integration
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Experience with automation tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, or Puppet
Experience in performance tuning, load balancing, and clustering
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, and AppDynamics
Knowledge of SSL/TLS certificate management and secure application configurations
Familiarity with firewalls, load balancers, and networking concepts
