Responsibilities
Secure successful implementations, upgrades and ongoing maintenance of IFS applications by providing technical services.
Develop business related knowledge to understand customer requirements and provide solutions.
Build strong working relationships with Business Analysts, providing technical support as necessary and ensuring a complete solution is provided to the customer.
Identify new opportunities, services, and technologies to help clients optimize their systems.
Coordinate all technical activities in the implementation/upgrade project, from initial deployment of software to post go live support.
Assist/guide the customer with security/profiles setup.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent job experience or other professional qualifications)
US Citizenship or permanent resident
Fluent in English language
Five to seven years of demonstrated technical experience in IFS applications. Functional knowledge is a plus.
Broad technical skill set, with familiarity of the various technologies and technical topics required to deploy, customize and support the IFS product suite
Significant experience in Software Engineering or Systems Engineering
Strong working knowledge of, and experience with, processes and protocols required for System Engineering and/or Software Engineering
Experience with handling implementation or upgrade projects from kick off to go live
Experience with performing common system admin functions such as security and user profile setup and configuration management in the IFS product being implemented
Understands capabilities of all products in the IFS product suite at a high level
Keeps up to date with new developments in the IFS product suite, new releases and their content, and how it might affect the project.
Maintain a degree of knowledge of methods and requirements for interfacing with external applications, familiar with integration technologies and standards used in the industry.
Ability to learn quickly, communicate ideas effectively
Utilize flexibility and creativity to present a variety of solutions
Self-motivated and willing to go outside of comfort zone to provide the best possible solution for the client.
Bias towards being proactive rather than reactive
Ability to work independently and efficiently.
Must be willing to travel up to 25%
PL/SQL programming skills, advanced SQL knowledge
Strong technical understanding of IFS applications
Installation of IFS applications/IFS Cloud
Installation of Oracle Database
Advanced knowledge of PL/SQL Developer, TOAD or SQL Developer, or similar
Report writing skills such as Microsoft Report Services, Crystal Reports, IFS Report Designer
IFS application configuration knowledge, Administration, RMBs, Events, Custom Fields, etc.
Database security, database copy
IFS Extended Server setup and installation as well as troubleshooting
System integration, SOA/ESB with IFS tools and/or middleware solutions like Boomi, Mulesoft
IFS Applications/IFS Cloud technology and architecture
TSM process followed for all activities in an implementation/upgrade project
CRIM development (well enough to be able to coordinate/track tasks assigned to Software Engineers)
Installation processes for the IFS software suite (well enough to be able to coordinate/track tasks assigned to Systems Engineers)
IFS Tailoring Guidelines and Application Quality Standards (AQS)
IFS Implementation Methodology
Aware of database administration and system troubleshooting/optimization related activities.
Good time management, organizational, and documentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Communicates clearly and concisely
