Responsibilities

Cybersecurity Architecture: Design and integrate security concepts, controls, and mechanisms into the product lifecycle, ensuring reliability and resilience against cyber threats.
Application Development: Oversee the creation, maintenance, and deployment of software applications and frameworks, adhering to best practices for secure coding and architecture.
Process Improvement: Develop and optimize processes for development, testing, bug-fixing, and software release cycles.
Strategic Innovation: Identify emerging technologies and trends to develop solutions that address application and cybersecurity challenges.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs and compliance requirements.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of growth and innovation.

Required

Due to Federal contract requirements, candidates must possess current US Citizenship.
The selected candidate will be required to successfully pass a government sponsored clearance process.
This position allows for remote telework, but selected candidates must live within a commutable distance from the client site in Fairmont, West Virginia.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, or related discipline).
5+ years' professional experience.
Proven track record in application development and cybersecurity.
Leadership experience in managing and guiding engineering teams.
Strong, secure coding, system architecture, and software lifecycle management background.
Technical Proficiency in one or more of the following: Programming languages: Python, JavaScript, ReactJS, C++, and Go.
Frameworks/Tools: Django, REST/SOAP APIs, Elastic Stack, and XSOAR engineering.
Platforms: Linux (RHEL) and Emacs.
Database management: SQL (MariaDB).

Preferred

Certifications: GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT) or equivalent is preferred.
