Responsibilities
Investigate and troubleshoot production problems using root cause analysis and help to implement the resolution and correction of mechanical problems.
Maintain automatic machines with PLC's, robotics, hydraulics, and pneumatic controls
Able to utilize software to troubleshoot PLC's, HMI's, robotics, and AC drives
Assist in installation and qualification of equipment
Demonstrate flexibility to be on call as needed to maintain production schedules and remain on shift as needed for shifting demands
Maintain current drawings and specifications on equipment and processes.
Establish and implement requirements for new equipment, tooling, or methods of manufacturing.
Develop operating instructions and equipment specifications for production activities.
Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues in support of manufacturing reliability.
Comfortable working with Allen Bradley controls and programming platforms, knowledge of Mitsubishi, Automax, and Yaskawa platforms
Comfortable working with multiple VFD platforms
Provide training, guidance and support to operations team in order to accomplish production goals.
Diagnose and remedy any electrical trouble quickly to avoid shut-downs.
Diagnose and remedy trouble, determine necessary repairs, tear down and reassemble machines.
Provide support to maintenance department as needed

Required
Associate’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering technology; or combination of education and experience.
Must be able to work from blueprints, manufacturer specifications and wiring diagrams.
Ability to develop designs and create engineering drawings using CAD software.
Experience using lean manufacturing, root cause analysis and problem-solving tools in order to solve problems.
Ability to use common precision measurement gauges and equipment.
Must be capable of working flexible hours to accommodate 24/7 manufacturing operations, including weekends, and on-call requirements.
Preferred
3 years experience in a multi-shift manufacturing facility preferred.
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and NEC preferred.
Experience in Web Converting, Paper/Pulp Converting, or similar high speed, rotating equipment environment preferred.
Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)
Industrial engineering: 1 year (Preferred)
