Industry Sales Manager – Energy & Power

Responsibilities
Identify, analyze and prospect new sales opportunities within the Energy and Power vertical.
Develop and execute account plans; responsible for managing a personal sales budget.
Negotiate and close deals, preferably long-term contracts with significant added value to the sales objectives.
Follows the market, customer developments and competitors and identifies criteria that have an impact on (future) business in terms of opportunities.
Promotes EPLAN; participates at PR events; represents EPLAN at fairs & business events.
Develops an efficient network with important customers; business partners, competitors; confederations e.g., through focused visit and participation at fairs & seminars.
Maintains relationship with the Energy and Power team and builds plans for regional development.
Provides industry knowledge and direct support to the USA sales and technical teams.
Defines and establishes contact to targeted prospects within the US.

Required
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, business administration, or marketing.
5+ years in selling solutions to senior level executives in the electric utility, substation, or renewable energy space.
Inquisitive, honest, and solves difficult problems. Takes the opportunity to connect/promote/sell ideas, products, and services that demonstrate our knowledge.
Ability to “consult” on CAE and other software solutions to drive value to prospects.
High customer orientation (internal and external), confident appearance as well as conceptual and strategic skills.
Good oral and written communication skills in English.
Strong communication, networking, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Strong business acumen with ability to influence at the executive level.
