Responsibilities

Develop and deploy security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection.

Architect secure network solutions and ensure compliance with security policies.

Monitor and analyze network traffic for potential threats and vulnerabilities.

Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability scans, and security assessments.

Lead or assist in investigating security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.

Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks.

Ensure compliance with regulations and standards like ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and HIPAA.

Create, update, and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Research and recommend emerging security technologies and strategies.

Conduct security awareness training for employees and stakeholders.

Work with IT and development teams to ensure secure design and deployment of systems and applications.

Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to evaluate security products and services.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.

Experience in information security engineering or a related role.

Proficiency with tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection.

Strong knowledge of network security, encryption protocols, and risk management.

Experience with compliance frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.

Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC.

Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

Problem-solving and analytical thinking.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Required Security clearance.

Preferred

Federal Experience is a plus.
