Responsibilities

Actively participate as a member of the IT team with a positive and customer service attitude, constructively share with other team members, pursue team based solutions, and backup and support other team members to support the District.
Install and coordinate the use of information systems ensuring that systems meet users’ needs; diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems with user departments to investigate and resolve problems and issues; monitor information systems activity and performance.
Work with outside vendors to identify and correct causes of hardware, operating systems software, or application program software malfunctions; coordinate warranty repairs with hardware vendors.
Maintain information systems schedules and ensure the accurate performance of hardware, software, and communications systems; maintain accurate records of system activities; perform regularly scheduled operations and data backup including monitoring and adjusting systems file limits and capacities, including off-hours maintenance as needed; regularly test systems for backup processing and operational continuity.
Assist in the developing, implementing, maintaining, and enforcing of standard policies and procedures for information systems; recommend procedural changes to improve systems operations, minimize risks, and ensure hardware and software integrity.
Assist in establishing, coordinating and implementing long range information systems planning; forecast and analyze information systems needs.
Provide instructional and procedural assistance concerning computer technology and applications software; prepare training materials and course contents, and conduct demonstrations and training.
Perform technical support in response to employee requests; order and install equipment for new employees; disable access to District computer systems upon employment separation.
Assist in implementing and maintaining cyber security mitigation measures.
Provide emergency response to reduce downtime, correct errors, or initiate and monitor vendor activity surrounding critical system failures, off-hours scheduled maintenance downtime, or on an as needed basis consistent with the Incident Command System (ICS), Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS), and National Incident Management Systems (NIMS).
Work varying shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, standby duty and respond to call backs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Program and develop code and scripts necessary to support enterprise level, business applications including querying, reporting, automation, integration, and batch processing functions.
Provide training and informational presentations to large and small groups related to information systems projects and programs.

Required

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or higher in computer-related field is desired.
Must possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Experience working with information technology infrastructure and services.
Good communication and training skills; must be dependable and be able to work effectively with other people.
Knowledge of: Microsoft Windows operating environment; Microsoft Office applications; Computer hardware and peripherals; General information security principles.
Proficient in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Toolset
Progressive, increasingly responsible experience in design, development and testing of small and large-scale JD Edwards applications.
Knowledge of Object Management Workbench (OMW) toolset, Named Event Rules (NER), C business functions, and table structures.
Knowledge of the following JD Edwards modules: Human Resources, Payroll, Financials, Inventory, Purchasing, Contracts

Preferred

JDE CNC experience is desirable
SQL Server Database experience is recommended.
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer-related field is desired.
Minimum of five years’ experience working with information technology infrastructure and services.
Knowledge of: Enterprise level software applications.
