Responsibilities

Experience performing Cybersecurity risk assessments for international travel activities to secure government equipment while OCONUS.
Works across organizational lines to address Cybersecurity issues that leave the organization vulnerable and makes recommendations to implement new or update existing policies to address these gaps.
Published procedural guides, directives, and instructions for individuals using IT services.
Conduct incident response activities and coordinate investigations with Agency Security Operations Center for security and privacy incidents throughout all stages of the incident management lifecycle.
Perform internal security or other technical audits to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of internal controls and IT governance processes.
Evaluate current and proposed technical solutions, processes, and architectural changes to continuously improve the effectiveness of an IT Program.

Required

You must be a US Citizen or US National.
Individuals who were born male after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.
Direct Deposit: Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
Work is primarily sedentary, although some walking, standing, carrying light items, etc., may be required.
The incumbent may occasionally lift or rearrange IT equipment.
Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-12 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates: Experience performing Cybersecurity risk assessments for international travel activities to secure government equipment while OCONUS.
