Responsibilities

Plans, develops, and implements technological solutions that are essential to CDPH’s databases and systems

Works with various levels of staff across the enterprise on projects involving application and database development on the Microsoft Modern Platform that aligns and supports security requirements

Writes/updates program code in a variety of programming languages such as Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Visual Studio.NET, J2EE, C#, Visual Basic, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, and functions

Works on the database and system configuration, performance tuning, and problem resolution

Serves as a technical lead in providing support and maintenance for mission critical applications and systems

Recommends solutions and provides project guidance

Develops documentation

Conducts research and analysis for information technology systems

Works with programs and teams on business requirements, architectural design; and oversees the implementation process

Required

Experience in Software Engineering and System Administration.

Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks requiring regular innovative problem-solving.

Experience in planning, developing, and implementing technological solutions.

Experience with application and database development on the Microsoft Modern Platform.

Knowledge of security requirements related to databases and systems.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Visual Studio.NET, J2EE, C#, Visual Basic, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, and functions.

Experience in database and system configuration, performance tuning, and problem resolution.

Ability to serve as a technical lead in providing support and maintenance for mission-critical applications and systems.

Experience in recommending solutions and providing project guidance.

Ability to develop documentation and conduct research and analysis for information technology systems.
