Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage core IT infrastructure services, including servers, storage, network systems, and cloud-based platforms.
Administer and support enterprise infrastructure environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
Manage and maintain virtualized environments using technologies like VMware, Hyper-V, and containerization platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Oversee the implementation and configuration of key infrastructure services, such as DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, LDAP, and NTP.
Ensure proper management of system backups, disaster recovery processes, and business continuity solutions.
Collaborate with network and security teams to deploy and maintain firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and other critical network services.
Perform regular system health checks, including monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning to meet evolving business demands.
Automate routine infrastructure tasks using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Develop and maintain documentation related to core infrastructure services, configurations, and procedures.
Provide level 2 and 3 support for escalated infrastructure-related incidents and service requests, ensuring quick resolution with minimal business impact.
Implement and enforce IT policies, best practices, and standards to maintain secure, compliant, and efficient infrastructure systems.
Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to system performance, resource utilization, and network connectivity, ensuring the infrastructure meets service level agreements (SLAs).
Manage cloud infrastructure platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) for scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate and integrate new technologies, ensuring that core services align with business and security requirements.
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in infrastructure services and systems management.
Participate in IT projects that require expertise in infrastructure design, deployment, and integration, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Provide training and mentorship to junior staff and other IT teams regarding core infrastructure services and technologies.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in managing and supporting IT infrastructure services, including networking, storage, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
Strong experience with server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and enterprise-level infrastructure management tools.
Expertise in virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficient in administering core infrastructure services, such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and NTP.
Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid/cloud architectures.
Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls) and experience configuring network services.
Experience with system automation and scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Strong understanding of IT security principles, including encryption, access control, firewalls, and intrusion detection.
Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues and provide timely resolution.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and infrastructure-as-code principles.
Experience in disaster recovery planning, business continuity, and high-availability solutions.
Required Security clearance.
Preferred
Federal Experience is a plus.
