Responsibilities
Develop and implement detailed transportation plans for offshore wind components, including turbines, foundations, cables, and substations.
Collaborate with logistics providers and vessel operators to ensure timely delivery to the installation site.
Optimize transport routes to minimize risks, costs, and environmental impact.
Plan and execute the installation of offshore wind turbines, foundations, and cables.
Ensure compliance with engineering specifications and project timelines during installation.
Coordinate the sequencing of installations to align with construction schedules and weather conditions.
Ensure all transportation and installation activities adhere to HSE standards and local maritime regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures for offshore operations.
Monitor and address environmental impacts during transport and installation phases.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to align transport and installation plans with overall project goals.
Serve as the point of contact for contractors, suppliers, and marine authorities.
Manage communications with port authorities and offshore control centers.
Monitor weather forecasts and adjust transport and installation schedules accordingly to minimize downtime and risks.
Implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with offshore operations, such as high winds, rough seas, and tidal conditions.
Develop and manage budgets for transportation and installation phases.
Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
Evaluate contractor and vendor performance to ensure value for money.
