Responsibilities

Work with subject matter experts to identify the target audience’s training needs

Conduct appropriate analyses to discover underlying cause(s) of performance issues or problems

Define applicable objectives and design/develop engaging solutions to resolve performance and non-performance related issues/problems

Design and develop engaging and interactive training content and materials, including web-based courseware (including graphics, basic videos or animations, and system simulations), instructor guides, learner workbooks, slide decks, job aids, handouts, etc.

Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role-plays, games, etc.)

Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course

Plan, execute, and interpret the implementation and evaluation of training interventions

Pilot training as needed for new training launches

Lead Train-the-Trainer sessions as needed and provide coaching and support to Training Specialists and team members through the preparation and delivery of new training

Research and study various components of Instructional Design and Human Performance Improvement to stay current in the field

Attend corporate and/or team meetings

Generate standard reports

Complete special projects and other work as assigned

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Training, Communications, Education, or similar field required or equivalent combination of education and work experience

4+ years of experience Training, Instructional Design, or equivalent (samples may be asked for)

2+ years of experience of designing and developing training

Demonstrated experience designing and developing web-based training and instructor-led training

Apply best practices in adult learning theory in the design of web-based and instructor-led training

Conduct analyses

Design and create well-structured and engaging instructional materials

Advanced technical and creative writing skills, visual design skills, and communication skills

Ability to collaborate with team, subject matter experts and business stakeholders

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Use a Windows-based PC at an expert-level

Proficiency in course authoring tools and Microsoft Office suite
