Responsibilities
Verifies accuracy and completeness of daily billing charges, monitors and finalizes outstanding issues held up in financial work queues, while working to obtain maximum reimbursement.
Performs and assists with back-end duties and charge review to include input, tracking, and verification of accurate and completed therapy billing charge transactions.
Responsible for follow-up and reconciliation of financial billing and claim work queues to ensure proper elimination of outstanding edits.
Provides assistance with maintaining and resolving accounts receivable issues related to Epic EMR system communications from Physician Billing Service.
Responds to questions and requests from insurance companies and other entities as required.
Reviews and assists in reconciliation of system defined charge reports.
Supports the review and resolution of financial claim edits created by missing patient information and past due collection accounts.
Answers billing and collection questions.
Provides back-up support for Accounts Receivable duties during peak times, vacations/illnesses.
Other duties as assigned to include, but not limited to, filing, faxing, copying, and correspondence.

Required
High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
