Responsibilities
Evaluate data submitted from businesses interested in PEO health benefits to set risk-based pricing.
Secure any missing information and identify inconsistencies in data.
Enter data into underwriting tools and manage the output through the peer-review process.
Communicate directly with clients and insurance carrier partners.
Review all new underwriting requests within 1-3 hours of receipt.
Manage and accommodate specific clients, including a broad range of disciplines.

Required
High attention to detail
Strong business communication skills
Ability to quickly learn new processes and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work well as a self-starter, both independently and as part of a team
High degree of responsibility and autonomy
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Outlook
Preferred
Prior individual, small group or large group medical underwriting
Health insurance agency / brokerage experience
Working knowledge of the Affordable Care Act
Experience working within the PEO and/or Association industry
Understanding HIPAA rules and regulations
