Responsibilities
Perform prior art investigations and patentability assessments.
Drafting and prosecution of patent applications.
Provide infringement and validity advice.
Monitoring and assessment of third-party patents.
Performing due diligence in support of IP acquisitions, corporate transactions.
Provide support to litigation proceedings.
Instruction of outside counsel on IP matters on behalf of the Group.
Support on drafting, negotiating, and advising on IP and technology contracts.
Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and practices that comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Conduct training sessions and provide educational resources to employees and managers on IP matters to promote IP awareness and compliance within the organization.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline – biomedical, mechanical, electrical, or related.
Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school
Admission to an applicable State Bar
Admission to the USPTO
A minimum of five (5) or more years of experience as an Intellectual Property Attorney preferably in Med-Tech, healthcare or a related industry, acquired in an IP law firm or in-house IP department.
Experience with technology transactions, including, for example, non-disclosure, material transfers, collaborations, engineering services, and licensing agreements.
Experience in evaluating and managing patent, trademark, and copyright portfolios, performing IP due diligence for corporate transactions and handling strategic commercial agreements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and group presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to provide strategic legal advice and counsel to global business partners within varied functions and global business units
High degree of professionalism, integrity, and ethical behavior.
