Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for software acquisition tasks associated with one or more NAVAIR program offices on behalf of the Software Engineering Department.
The incumbent is responsible for executing and approving technical standards, tools, and processes in conformance to higher authority policy, requirements, architectures and standards.
The incumbent is responsible for determining that software is mission effective, maintainable, and systems are inter-operable.
The incumbent also recommends airworthiness certification for granting interim and/or permanent flight clearances by systematically building the safety case through the review of artifacts (deliverables).
By assessing the software development for functional, performance and execution progress to achieve mission effectiveness through the execution of sound engineering processes, alignment to Technical Performance Measures (TPMs) and planned resources the program office may then implement recommendations from baseline and independent assessments.

Required
Top Secret security clearance required.
4-7 Years of experience.
Subject matter expert with software development.
Subject matter expert with software design/architecture.
Subject matter expert with modern software toolsets (DevOps, Jira, etc.).
