Responsibilities

Works closely with community engagement team members and other members of the New York Growth organization to develop/maintain/deepen relationships with key business leaders, community-based organizations (CBOs) and health care providers.
Supports the Molina approach to addressing health equity, access to quality care, and population needs in our local communities by helping connect members to the resources and services they need to support their health and well-being.
Participates in marketing activities to support efforts, including enrollment and community-based events, signature-sponsored outreach initiatives.
Learns Molina Healthcare member engagement practices, and where applicable, delivers presentations, and attends meetings.

Required

Candidate must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate program as a current freshman or sophomore with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and pursuing a bachelor's degree with preference in the following areas - Public Health, Public Service, Marketing, Public Affairs, Public Policy Administration, General Business, Communications.
Candidate must possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred

Must possess clear and professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong work ethic, self-motivated and ability to develop relationships.
Good time management, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
Computer experience including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and experience with internet research.
Willingness to receive self-guided training in Canva, a drag-and-drop graphic design platform interface to simplify the design process with tools for creating marketing communications assets.
Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills.
Ability to handle confidential information. Ability to maintain confidentiality and to comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Must have access to readily available and reliable transportation, or valid driver’s license with good driving record and be able to drive within applicable state or locality with reliable transportation.
