Responsibilities
Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation during meetings, conferences, and other events.
Interpret conversations, discussions, and presentations accurately and fluently from Arabic to English and vice versa.
Translate documents, reports, and other written materials from Arabic to English and vice versa.
Ensure translations are accurate, contextually appropriate, and culturally sensitive.
Prepare for interpretation assignments by reviewing relevant materials and terminology.
Conduct research to understand the context and subject matter of the discussions or documents.
Maintain confidentiality of all interpreted and translated information.
Adhere to ethical standards and professional codes of conduct.
Work closely with team members and stakeholders to ensure effective communication.
Provide feedback and suggestions to improve interpretation and translation processes.
Maintain records of interpretation and translation assignments.
Assist with scheduling and coordinating interpretation services as needed.

Proficiency in English and Arabic.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong understanding of cultural nuances and context.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Master’s degree or equivalent in Translation, Interpretation, Linguistics, or a related field is required.
A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
At least 5 years of progressively responsible work experience in interpretation and translation is required.
Excellent analytical skills with strong drive for results and capacity to work independently is required.
Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
Preferred
Knowledge of French is an asset.
