Responsibilities

Serve as a technical leader and expert in specific security area(s).

Analyze existing and future computing environments to ensure compliance with County policy and industry best practices.

Perform system administration across various platforms and services such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Endpoint Protection Suite, etc.

Support ancillary systems like SolarWinds, Active Directory, and OKTA.

Conduct intrusion event investigative and reporting activities as required.

Analyze requests for new system implementations and ensure best practice security design and integration with existing infrastructure.

Produce data and reports in support of indicators of compromise, audit, and policy compliance.

Required

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in management information systems, computer science, or a related field

Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in supporting and implementing information technology infrastructure and/or server administration specific to the specialty area assigned

Experience in data center management, IT facilities management, storage and backup, server management and server operating systems, and/or configuration management and event management

Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California Driver's License

Possession of, or ability to obtain, industry-recognized information technology certifications
