Responsibilities

Manage and maintain IBM iSeries (AS/400) systems, including hardware and software upgrades, patches, and backups.
Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
Perform regular security audits and implement necessary security measures.
Lead and participate in IT projects related to the IBM iSeries environment.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Implement and maintain IT best practices, including disaster recovery planning and business continuity.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 10 years of experience in IBM iSeries (AS/400) system administration.
Strong knowledge of IBM iSeries hardware and software.
Experience with system monitoring tools and performance tuning.
Familiarity with programming languages such as RPG, CL, and COBOL.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of networking principles and protocols.
Experience with virtualization technologies.
This position will require occasional evening and weekend work.
On-call support is required.

Preferred

iSeries / POWER platform certification preferred
Certification in IBM iSeries system administration or related fields.
Strong knowledge of support desk software with awareness of ITIL Service Desk process
Knowledge and experience of defining, creating, and managing procedures.
Security compliance experience: SOC, PCI, ISO 27001, or SOX a plus.
Time management and organizational skills
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills; be adept at communicating with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and personal development.

Flexible, adaptable, responsible, punctual, proactive, and self-sufficient
Successful experience with an affinity for small to large size business environments
