Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, network equipment, and end-user devices.

Provide technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues for internal employees.

Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and availability of the company's IT systems and networks.

Support and manage software and hardware upgrades, patches, and backups.

Assist with network administration, including configuring firewalls, VPNs, and other network devices.

Support system and network security efforts, including the implementation of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus solutions.

Configure and maintain email systems, cloud-based applications, and internal communication platforms.

Ensure proper data backup and disaster recovery systems are in place and functioning.

Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure the timely resolution of issues and improvements to the IT infrastructure.

Develop and maintain documentation related to IT systems, configurations, and processes.

Assist with IT project implementation, including system upgrades, new software deployments, and infrastructure improvements.

Stay up-to-date with emerging IT technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements or upgrades to enhance operational efficiency.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience as an IT Engineer, IT Technician, or in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of IT systems, hardware, networking, and software.

Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.

Experience with network administration, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN configuration.

Solid understanding of network security practices and principles.

Experience with IT support ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk).

Experience in backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Security clearance.

Preferred

Proficiency with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.

Experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-based applications.

Federal Experience is a plus.
