Responsibilities
Serves as IT Project Manager for large scale and complex automation projects.
Performs program management activities consisting of fielding system/equipment items and life cycle management and support.
Guides, motivates, and oversees the activities of individuals and teams with focus on project and program issues.
Utilize principles of Integrated Product Team (IPT) management to conduct program management activities, initiate action to satisfy requirement and tailor acquisition strategy for concepts evaluation.
Plans, schedules, and prepare all necessary project documentation for in-process reviews, applicable milestone reviews, and resource cycle inputs.
Develops, integrates, and implements solutions to diverse, highly complex problems across multiple areas and disciplines.
Assess the performances and capabilities of private agencies performing work relating to assigned programs.
Prepares and presents briefings to management and subordinate personnel.

Required
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Individual must meet IT Level III Certification requirements as determined by regulations within 24 months of being appointed to this position.
This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below.
One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Serving as senior project leader for large scale/complex automation projects, 2) Performing program management activities developing and completion of initial fielding of the system/equipment items, and 3) Developing solutions to solve problem and ensure program/mission accomplishment.
The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience which demonstrates each of the four competencies: (1) Attention to Detail, (2) Customer Service, (3) Oral Communication, (4) Problem Solving.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone - no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
One year trial/probationary period may be required.
Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
