Responsibilities

Enable access to enterprise data across Mayo Clinic in support of innovative projects.
Work closely with Epic, MCC, and source system teams for data acquisition.
Manage work using tools like Azure DevOps, Service Now, and Clarity.
Retrieve complex patient data from enterprise data collections, specialty data marts, and application data replicates.
Find, retrieve, package, and deliver data to meet client needs.
Design, develop, implement, and maintain custom system software, and/or install and maintain purchased systems software.
Configure and support hardware systems across Mayo Clinic.
Develop proposals that consider alternatives and business cases, gaining needed institutional approvals.
Evaluate alternative approaches and present recommendations to teams and unit leadership.
Regularly review applications and make modifications and/or updates to ensure currency and functionality.
Maintain and support multiple systems or complex software applications and their associated hardware at multiple Mayo Clinic sites.
Produce and maintain documentation such as system requirements, designs, resource inventories, and plans.
Provide technical and project leadership to other staff members, demonstrating initiative and working independently as needed.
Work effectively across departmental organizations gaining consensus of stakeholders.
Interface with vendor support service groups or other external support teams to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
Act as a liaison to Mayo departments and vendors to adequately support the division’s computing systems.
Interface routinely with colleagues who may be located at any of the Mayo Group practices to perform job responsibilities requiring virtual collaboration and partnership.
May be required to provide 24/7 on-call support.

Required

Experience and knowledge of enterprise data warehouse, clinical data or EMR data (Epic Clarity, Cerner, GE Lastword)
Experience with business intelligence and data extraction technologies like SSIS, SQL query development
Ability to learn new Google data extraction tools like BigQuery, DataFusion, and DataFlow
Experience managing work using cornerstone tools like Azure DevOps, Service Now, and Clarity
Ability to thrive in the face of change and enjoy working through ambiguity
Ability to manage critical customer and vendor relationships
Ability to balance multiple critical priorities on a high growth team
Experience retrieving complex patient data from enterprise data collections, specialty data marts, and application data replicates
Experience in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of custom system software
Experience in the installation and maintenance of purchased systems software
Experience in the configuration and support of hardware systems
Ability to develop proposals that consider alternatives and business case
