Responsibilities

Consult and assist with IT technical solutions by providing advice, guidance and recommendations regarding data governance and Information management.

Serve as a Subject Matter expert in the areas of data cataloging, data inventory, metadata management, master data management, data quality, and data stewardship.

Implement data policies that enable the effective management and use of data by planning, designing, and working with multiple groups to implement data policies into IT systems that enable the strategic use of data for decision making. The incumbent will work in a team to undertake data governance and data management efforts.

Perform project management functions by providing leadership for projects and tasks requiring complex technical coordination, creating project management artifacts and materials for communication, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders in written and verbal formats.

Required

At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service.

IT-related experience demonstrating EACH of the four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem Solving.

Experience supporting enterprise data governance initiatives and organization-wide data management, including establishing policies, procedures, and architectural elements using data for analysis, retention, and maintenance of budgetary, financial, and performance information necessary to facilitate Executive level decision-making.
