Responsibilities

Contribute to reporting on IT vendor contracts, performance, risk, and relationships to key internal stakeholders and vendors.
Possess knowledge of and experience with the purchasing of IT hardware, software, and services. Proven record with negotiations, identifying savings opportunities and savings planning and realization.
Facilitate collaboration with team members as well as across teams, sections, and departments to complete work in a timely manner.
Foster strong strategic vendor partnership relationships, focused on ensuring strong vendor delivery adherence to contractual obligations.
Provide IT Vendor Management subject matter expertise for contractual issues, terms, and industry best practices, including a variety of services such as managed services, fixed price contracts, and strategic sourcing agreements.
A self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, with the ability to problem solve based on available information, reasonable assumptions, and internal knowledge.
Facilitate the maintenance of agreements with vendors and ensure that they are current/up to date and compliant with relevant laws and regulations, including software license compliance.
Ensure timely renewal and negotiation of existing agreements with cost optimization, cost avoidance, savings, or equal contract value.
Perform financial spend and qualitative analysis of the vendor portfolio.
Ability to effectively communicate and build productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders including internal IT team members, cyber security, procurement, senior management, business units and externally with vendors.
Effectively identify and mitigate potential roadblocks or conflicts, both internally and externally
Assist various teams- procurement and business units to optimize the cost-effectiveness of negotiations and ensure compliance of negotiated agreements to established vendor management policies and practices (such as articulation of service levels and deliverables).
Possess exceptional interpersonal written, verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively at various levels of the organization
Contribute to the development of vendor management policies, risk registers, processes, and workflows.
Possess exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Share knowledge to ensure individuals and teams have the appropriate breadth and depth to offer support to the business, projects, and day-to-day operations. This may include mentoring, providing effective guidance and/or feedback.
Actively seek out opportunities to gain experience and apply emerging trends such as best practices and standards.
Look for challenging assignments that add value to the organization and apply learnings from those opportunities within the role.
Foster a culture that values learning and creativity both individually and as a team.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities to automate development, provisioning, and release work to accelerate and improve the quality of solutions delivery.

Required

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years’ experience supporting vendor management, contracts, and procurement, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Committed to continuous learning and sharing of that learning. This includes a focus on expanding knowledge beyond the current role including leadership, emerging principles, and staying abreast of technologies for which major investments are being considered.
Ability to create and communicate negotiation strategies, identifying challenges, and remediation techniques.
Strong technical foundation with demonstrated business, data, and financial analysis skills.
Ability to translate and communicate complex concepts in relatable terms.
Capable of achieving conflict resolution of complex and financially significant contracts achieving successful outcome while building and preserving relationships.
Able to take control of demanding situations involving IT, other business units and external vendors effectively.
Demonstrated experience reviewing and negotiating complex technology contracts.
Strong working knowledge of procurement practices.
Experience interfacing effectively with diverse and senior stakeholder groups.
