Responsibilities

Define and prioritize the product backlog for the Science Cloud Infrastructure team based on Science Cloud stakeholder’s requirements.
Ensure that backlog items are clearly defined, well-structured, and contain appropriate acceptance criteria.
Continuously refine and adjust priorities in line with changing customer needs, compliance requirements, and technical constraints.
Collaborate with key stakeholders including Science Cloud customers, cloud engineers, platform architects, DevOps teams, and leadership to understand customer requirements, compliance requirements, and technical dependencies.
Act as the primary point of contact for the cloud infrastructure team, facilitating communication between the team and Science Cloud customers.
Ensure alignment between product vision, customer needs, and engineering priorities.
Facilitate discussions and workshops to gather feedback and align stakeholders.
Ensure that the product vision and roadmap are communicated effectively to all stakeholders.
Develop and communicate a clear product roadmap and release plans for cloud infrastructure services (e.g., networking, security, storage, compute resources).
Promote Agile principles within the team and encourage continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback loops.
Facilitate and participate in PI Planning, system demos, and other agile ceremonies.

Required

At least 5 years’ experience using agile frameworks; at least 3 years’ experience in the Product Owner role.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
US Citizenship and ability to pass background checks for elevated privileges in federal government IT environments.

Preferred

Certifications in agile frameworks (e.g. SAFE, Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar).
Science-domain knowledge/experience would be ideal.
