Responsibilities
Must have MS-Project, and be able to use.
Must have Network and Infrastructure Background:
Conversant in how a Network and Infrastructure is delivered:
Understands Circuit order (Non DIA) processing with such vendors as ATT, Comcast, others.
Understands what a DMARC is and what a LMP (Last mile provider is) and how this Infrastructure works.
Understands delivery and set-up of a new circuit, how it’s connected and turned-up.
Understands what a router is and where it’s placed in the Infrastructure
Understands Basic Network Equipment and its use (IE: Core and UA switches, Firewalls, Wireless Controllers, Waps, Servers, etc.) and how it fits in the infrastructure.
Can look at a Network diagram and understand the flow of connections.
Understands basic Datacenter (DC) concepts. Understands the following:
How DC Operations works (general)
Fiber/Copper connections
Equipment racks, (IE is there enough space in a rack, else will new racks be needed)
Power requirements, (Ie. Adding new equipment, is there enough power)
HVAC – (knowing the questions to ask in order to support new equipment)
Knowing Voice platforms within a DC Environment is a plus.
Knowledge of Cisco and Arista devices is a plus, others are a plus as well.
This role is not focused on automation or scripting skills like Ansible, Python, rather the more senior PM will be strong in conversing and delivering on Networking and Infrastructure projects.
Someone that can speak the Networking and Infrastructure language, develop a project plan, and work within the bank to deliver the requested solutions.
