Responsibilities
Provide legal advice and representation to Marines and their families on a wide range of issues including criminal law, operational law, international law, and civil law.
Serve as trial or defense counsel in courts-martial and other military legal proceedings.
Advise commanders on legal matters affecting the command and its operations.
Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, briefs, and opinions.
Participate in the development and enforcement of military regulations and policies.
Engage in continuing legal education and professional development to stay current with changes in the law.

Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Membership in good standing with the bar of any U.S. state or the District of Columbia.
Ability to meet Marine Corps physical fitness and medical standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
