Responsibilities

Will conceptualize traction power designs by preparing design drawings and documents.

Will create technical specifications, cost estimates, proposals, calculations, and studies associated with traction power systems for electrified railways systems running on either AC or DC power.

Will apply technical knowledge of basic elements of power engineering as it relates to train systems.

Ability to exercise good judgement on details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptions of engineering alternatives.

Will communicate with others to support business development opportunities.

Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

Will create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

Will collect and analyze data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

Will use computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

Will perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Rail Industry

Required

BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or related field plus none or demonstrated equivalency of experience and /or education.
