Responsibilities
Write and report a minimum of three original stories per week, with photos.
Generate most of your own story ideas through sources, government agency meeting agendas, Internet, news sites and observation.
Write/edit and post breaking news stories: road closures, vehicle crashes, fires, etc.
Rewrite press releases into news stories sent by the state, counties, police departments, prosecuting attorney’s office and other government agencies.
Rewrite relevant press releases sent by nonprofits, organizations and other sources.
Post stories/rewrites on sites and social media, as well as a few other web duties.
