Responsibilities

Drive net fees and contractor headcount growth in own market; grow contacts in all active clients.
Actively manage client and job processes through key job management activities to ensure best service delivered for client and contractors.
Meet or exceeds expected fill ratios in conjunction with recruitment team.
Pursuit of target clients and leads obtained.
Responsible for articulating and following up all client communications; confirm compliance required.
Ensures min activity standards are delivered consistently, including business development (calls, in-person meetings, utilizing all communication channels including social media to promote own desk and Hays brand).
Obtain job orders for contract, contract to hire of consultants and independent contractors using established best practices (job registration, client meetings, multiple communication channels).
Demonstrate a “service delivery” mentality to ensure attainment of minimum key activity standards and desk fundamentals are in place.
Negotiation of margins and terms of business / contracts within approval guidelines.
Work with manager to ensure a targeted BD plan is in place and develop targeted calls lists to ensure development of “cold, warm and hot” portfolio of clients with a view to pursuing long term strategic relationships.
Actively pursue leads generated or given, focusing on key “in-demand skills” and working with recruiting team to ensure a pipeline of relevant candidate availability.
Seek every opportunity to add the human element and “go the extra mile” to deliver a differentiated service.
Network internally and externally; participate in professional associations where relevant; regularly attend client meetings with other specialists.
Continually improve job and technical knowledge by seeking feedback and undertaking expected self-learning activities.
Assimilate to Hays culture, undermine successful execution of our strategy or adversely impacts relationships with clients, candidates, or colleagues.

Required

Proven sales success - staffing or B2B.
Ability to build strong relationships.
Willingness to "cold-call" and prospect for new business over the phone.
Self-confident, motivated, goal oriented, persistent and a skilled negotiator.
Must possess solid organizational and interpersonal skills and be detail oriented.
High level of initiative and work well in a team environment.
Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well with support.
Organized, plans and carries out responsibilities with direction from manager.
