Responsibilities
As Knowledge Manager, you will oversee all aspects of program execution, ensuring deliverables are met on time while managing and coaching program staff.
You will collaborate with government technical partners to monitor and evaluate progress against objectives, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and coordinate resources effectively.
Additionally, you will lead budget preparation and financial monitoring while identifying new opportunities and best practices to enhance program impact.
Lead the global SRH team in developing and implementing a knowledge management plan for CHAI’s Women and Newborn Health Cluster
As a component of the knowledge management plan, lead the team in setting specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals for dissemination of learning and evidence with targeted audiences and identified dissemination channels (e.g., CHAI social media, conferences, publications). Work collaboratively with others to develop shared goals, objectives, strategies, plans and measures of success.
Work with Global SRH Operations to leverage and optimize internal knowledge repositories and databases, (e.g., Box folder systems; CHAI’s global intranet), coordinating with workstream and country support leads
Assess the business case for and advise on establishment and/or use of external online knowledge repositories and knowledge sharing and networking platforms in light of CHAI’s SRMNH strategy and program goals
Advise on and scope options for desktop publishing or other software that would enhance the quality of knowledge and communication assets; support procurement and use as relevant
Ensure that knowledge sharing efforts are demand driven; are additive to existing resources; and responsive to what governments and other stakeholders articulate as felt needs and value added
Work with subject-matter experts (e.g., global SRH program, workstream and country support leads; country SRH program leads, etc.) to capture and document critical knowledge; review evidence, literature, and program learning to prepare compelling, accessible knowledge products including case studies and success stories, fact sheets, blog posts, webinars
Oversee and/or coordinate the creation and dissemination of impactful, compelling, credible and data-informed knowledge and communications materials, including newsletters and digital content for CHAI’s website, social media platforms, and other external digital platforms
Help develop and manage editorial calendars for articles or other content development for external publication
Distribute knowledge resources through various channels, such as intranet, Microsoft Teams channels, email, and newsletters
Build and engage online communities via social media and newsletters, creating visually engaging content, and in accordance with relevant events such as conferences.
Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning on Women’s and Newborn Health across CHAI teams
Scope need for and helping to establish and facilitate internal communities of practice and other internal channels/platforms for knowledge exchange across teams
Support the facilitation of knowledge exchange events like internal learning summits and other internal and external global meetings, including through supporting agenda, format, and content development
Advise on strategies, approaches and messages to reach a wide variety of audiences including government decision makers, donors, and ecosystem partners
Support business development effort, including by developing materials that support donor scoping and engagement, collaborating with country teams and CHAI’s Business Development team to create compelling materials
Provide strategic direction on goals to support CHAI’s strategic partnerships with country governments, donors and partners
Support recruitment and inform hiring strategy.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Minimum 5–6 years relevant experience in a knowledge management and learning and/or communications role
Knowledge of desktop publishing software
Excellent written and oral English communication skills
Excellent Microsoft PowerPoint skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and social media platforms
Excellent project management skills
Skilled storyteller with ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Demonstrated ability to manage and foster collaboration within matrixed project teams
Experience synthesizing complex information and preparing presentations, manuscripts, reports, and briefs for internal and external audiences
Ability to be effective, calm, and flexible in a fast-paced work environment, to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to effectively prioritize
Comfort working with a geographically dispersed team across multiple time zones
Respectful of cultural differences. Exceptional diplomatic and interpersonal skills, and an ability to manage challenging multicultural, multi-stakeholder situations to achieve intended results
Exceptional attention to detail
Self-motivation and comfort working independently with little oversight

Preferred
Experience working in low- and middle-income countries
Prior experience in global health
